Where am I?
- - Learn how to take the next step in your spiritual journey!
In every church, there are five different kinds of people. Our goal is to provide ministry to each of these groups of people, and help each one move to the next level of spiritual maturity.
The five groups are community, crowd, congregation, committed and core.
Each people group can be identified by their level of involvement in the life of the church body.
The community is made of of individuals within the ministry reach of our church. They are the people in our community who may or may not attend our church. We plan ministries specifically designed to attract the community to visit our church campus.
The next level of involvement is the crowd. These are the people that attend worship services but are not connected relationally in a small group or ministry.
The next level of involvement is the congregation. These are the people who have chosen to join with our community of faith and have pledged themselves to mutual support and accountability. They have professed their faith in Jesus Christ and publically acknowledged Him as their Lord and Savior.
The next level of involvement is the committed. These are the people who are moving into deeper levels of spiritual maturity by engaging in group Bible studies, Sunday School classes, and Life Development classes.
The deepest level of involvement, and the ideal for all Christians, is the core. These are the people who not only inhale spiritually by being involved in Bible study and small groups, but also exhale by participating in ministry to others by serving on one of our many ministry teams. The core believers fully live out Jesus' challenge to make disciples!
If you were to do an honest self-evaluation of where you are right now, where would you be? Are you in the crowd? The congregation? The committed? What steps are you taking to move to the next level of spiritual maturity? Are you stuck in your journey?
